Twitter and Procrastination.

Twitter and Procrastination.

As I slowly gain more Twitter followers (thanks for the follows!), I feel a growing need to be productive. I think we all know that procrastination can be a real problem for writers, so this is a welcome side-effect. I was worried that blogging and twitter would slow my writing, but I’m starting to see that this is not the case. Blogging and twitter makes me feel more like a writer, not less, because it makes me beholden to readers.

Another way to fight procrastination: out think it. You Are Not So Smart helped me realize this. They point out that your future self will also procrastinate and cannot be trusted. You should keep this in mind when putting things off. You can only accomplish things in the present. For a more thorough explanation take a look at the You Are Not So Smart website.
